BLACKHORN FAQ’s

Do you take reservations?

No. Service is walk-in only but we are a quick-serve restaurant so whatever time you arrive we should be able to find you a spot to sit within 5-10mins. We are usually busiest between (12am – 2.30pm) and (5pm – 7pm).

Do you have Gluten Free options?

Because everything is made to order at BlackHorn many of the items on the menu can be adapted to be gluten free. Because we believe that only the highest quality of products should be served at BlackHorn we do not use Gluten-Free Buns or Wraps as we have not discovered a product comparable to what we currently use.

Gluten Free Burgers

All of our Burgers can be served on a bed of lettuce instead of their bun and because they are all 100% Beef or Chicken Breast you have nothing to worry about. Likewise our Hot Dogs can be served without the bun.

Gluten Free Sides

OUR CHUNKY FRIES ARE GLUTEN FREE! Tuck into our famous Chunky Fries, you won’t regret it! Unfortunately our Onion Rings are not gluten-free and as we fry the Sweet-Potato Fries alongside them, we cannot guarantee them safe for those allergic to gluten.

Gluten Free Salads

The only thing stopping our Salads from being gluten-free is the addition of croutons on the Spicy Chick and we are happy to make the alteration so you can enjoy the smooth and spicy dish.

Gluten Free Wraps

Due to the nature of our Famous Wraps it is difficult to recreate them without the wrap but by using our Make-Your-Own Salad option you can get all the fantastic flavours with none of the gluten!

Gluten Free Drinks

All soft drinks and wines are gluten-free but beer is not. Our Classic Shakes are gluten-free but the Strawberry Shortcake, Crunchy Malted Chocolate and the Lemon Meringue Pie Speciality Shakes are not although the latter can be made gluten free.

Gluten Free Ice Cream Sundaes

All our ice cream sundaes include ingredients that include gluten but we can make a simple and delicious tub of ice cream with your choice of sauce when the ice-cream craving hits. The wafer cones we use for the ice cream cones also contain gluten.

When are you open?

Mondays to Thursdays – 11am to 9.30pm
Fridays and Saturdays – 11am to 10pm
Sundays – 12am to 10pm

Christmas Hours are shorter and we close at 7pm, or 4pm on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. We are closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. We close for maintenance and repairs twice a year, once in the first or second week in January and once in June. What is the BlackHorn sauce?

The BlackHorn Sauce is our specially formulated burger sauce that combines all your favourite condiments into one Super-Sauce, while the ingredients themselves are secret we are more than happy to give you taste so just ask! Originally designed to go great with our special beef mix this sauce also goes great with our Chunky Chips, Bacon, the BlackHorn Chick, Onion Rings… in fact pretty much anything on the menu!

Don’t be afraid to ask for a taste or a small pot of sauce on the side so that you can have your first BlackHorn Sauce experience.

Do you deliver?

Yes. If you have access to a smartphone you can download Deliveroo and order food from us to be delivered in the St Andrews area. We hope to expand this service in the future.
